Child Examinations

Every child deserves to see the world clearly. We are able to manage and monitor your child’s vision from as early as age 2. We recommend having your child’s eyes tested before the age of 7 as this allows for early intervention should it be needed.

“Few things are hidden from a quiet child with good eyesight.”

— Terry Pratchett

About 80% of what is taught in schools is presented visually.

Being able to see clearly is therefore incredibly important in your child’s overall development.

Children may not realise they have a vision problem, so without routine tests there’s a risk a problem may not be spotted.  This may affect their development and education, but if detected early, the sooner you and your child will be able to get any treatment and support needed.

See below for all the information you need about your child’s vision, testing, costs and frames.
